The prompt was....

As an "older" writer, I was especially pleased at all of the wonderful kudos and congratulations I received from other writers, including Gale Martin, comedy author of Grace Unexpected, Don Juan in Hankey Pennsylvania and Who Killed Tom Jones, Hope Clark, author of the Carolina Slade and Edisto Island mystery series, Kaylie Jones, daughter of Jack Jones, author of several award-winning novels, and publisher of Kaylie Jones Books.
This win adds to the encouragement so many have given me concerning my writing. So, to all of you who feel you may be too "old" to start writing YOUR stories, I say, seriously? I think Baby boomers still have loads to give, and wonderful stories to tell.
Now get to it! Join Hope Clark's "Funds for Writers." Look for writer's residencies. Enter Contests and write your heart out. The world will be better when you share YOUR stories!
